We’re thrilled to care for your pets and want to make sure you feel comfortable and informed. Please take a few moments to review our policies below, designed to keep things smooth, safe, and enjoyable for everyone!

Payment Terms

  • Payment Due: The remainder of the payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise arranged.

  • Accepted Payments: We accept cash, credit cards, and Venmo.

  • Late Payment Fee: Payments made more than 7 days after the due date may incur a late fee.

Emergency and Medical Care

  • Emergency Care Authorization: Should your pet require emergency care, we will contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, we will proceed with necessary treatment up to an agreed-upon amount.

  • Emergency Contact: Please provide a local emergency contact on the form we ask you to fill out upon booking with us. This person will be able to make decisions if you are unavailable.

  • Informational Form: We ask all clients to fill out an informational form that includes emergency care information, ensuring we have all the details we need to provide the best care for your pet.

Pet Health and Behavior Requirements

  • Vaccinations: For the safety of all pets, we ask that you provide a signature on the informational form confirming that your pets are up-to-date on their vaccinations, including rabies and distemper/parvo for dogs.

  • Medications and Behavioral Disclosure: The informational form will also include spaces for any medications your pet needs and for you to disclose any behavioral quirks or potential triggers. We love all pets and want to ensure we’re prepared to meet their needs!

Household and Security

  • Home Access: We’re happy to work with your preferred method for home access, whether a key exchange, lockbox, or code.

  • Confidentiality: Your home’s privacy and security are very important to us. Personal information and home details are kept confidential.

  • Guest Policy: Our pet sitter will not allow guests to enter your home unless explicit permission is given by you, the homeowner.

  • Household Tasks: We’ll gladly handle tasks like mail collection, trash/recycling, and plant watering while you’re away. Just let us know what you’d like us to include!

Client Communication

  • Updates: We know how nice it is to get updates! Expect a daily check-in with texts or photos so you can stay connected with your pet.

  • Special Requests: Please let us know of any special requests when you fill out the client form when booking to ensure we can accommodate them.

Additional Services and Fees

  • Extra Services: Add-on services like litter box cleaning or poop scooping can be added if we’re already visiting your pet for check-ins. Overnight pet sitting includes these services at no additional cost.

  • Additional Pet Fees: The advertised fee is for one pet. For homes with multiple pets, an additional fee of $10 per pet will apply to ensure everyone gets the attention they deserve! Fish are not subject to an additional charge. If your pet requires continuous care throughout the day, meaning the Pet Nanny cannot leave them unattended for more than two hours, an additional fee will apply to accommodate this level of dedicated care.

  • Holiday Surcharge: Holiday bookings (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) may incur an additional fee. We’ll provide this information upon booking.

Liability Waiver

  • Limitations on Liability: Pet Nanny will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of the pet(s). However, the Pet Nanny is not liable for any unforeseen incidents, accidents, or injuries that may occur during the pet care period.

  • Weather Policies: In extreme weather conditions, we may adjust services (e.g., walk duration or playtime). We’ll communicate with you if weather affects your pet’s service.

Booking and Cancellations

  • In-Home Pet Sitting Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to hold your spot for in-home pet-sitting services.

  • Last Day Partial Rate Policy for In-Home Pet Sitting:

    If you arrive home after 12:00 PM on the final day of pet sitting, a 1/2 day rate will be charged for that day.

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Cancellations made at least one month in advance will be refunded in full.

    • Cancellations up to two weeks in advance will have the deposit credited to a future service.

    • No deposit refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks before the scheduled service.

    • Holiday Policy: There are no refunds for cancellations during the week of Thanksgiving and Dec 18 - Jan 2.

  • Advance Booking: For all services, we encourage bookings at least 48 hours in advance. For holidays, please book as early as possible, as spots fill up quickly!
